Custom steel fences for gardens, terraces and balconies

Slatted, barred and panel fences, made in our workshop and installed on site. We pick salt protection by distance from the sea — so the fence doesn't rust within two seasons.

Fence types

Steel fences we make

Every fence is drawn for the plot or terrace: height, spacing, slat rhythm and anchoring are agreed before fabrication.

Garden and boundary fences

Street and boundary fences on a low wall, foundation or posts — with a matching gate.

Terrace and balcony railings

Safety railings for terraces, balconies and flat roofs of houses and apartments.

  • Bars, slats or glass infill
  • Top- or side-fixed
  • Steel, stainless or timber handrail

Panels and infill

Sheet, mesh or perforated panels for privacy or wind protection.

  • Perforated sheet and mesh
  • Privacy without a solid wall

A steel fence that survives the seaside

Most calls start the same way: the fence looked great the first summer, and two seasons later rust appears at the welds and corners. The problem is almost never the steel — it's protection that didn't match the location. A fence in Podgorica and a fence thirty metres from the sea in Ulcinj should not get the same finish.

So we start with where the fence stands: how far the sea is, whether it faces the wind, whether it gets pool splash or sprinklers. On the coast we suggest galvanised steel with paint or powder coating, and stainless steel for handrails and parts directly exposed to salt. The quote states exactly what you get.

How we build a fence

  • Measuring and drawing. From photos and dimensions we give a ballpark figure; for larger fences we measure on site and draw the post and panel layout.
  • Workshop fabrication. Panels are welded in the workshop where dimensions and weld quality are controlled. Welds are ground before protection — that is where rust usually starts.
  • Protection. Primer and paint, RAL powder coating or galvanising, depending on the site.
  • Installation. Anchoring into a wall, foundation or slab, levelling and a final check on site.

Slats, bars or panels?

Horizontal slats look modern and add privacy, but need precise spacing and good stiffening on long spans. Vertical bars are the classic, most economical option for street fences. Perforated or mesh panels work when you want to screen the garden from view or wind. Not sure? Send a photo of the house and we will suggest something that suits the facade and your gate.

Areas we cover

Our workshop is in Ulcinj; we also install in Bar, Budva, Podgorica, Tivat and Kotor — see Ulcinj, Bar, Budva and Podgorica.

Corrosion protection

Choosing fence protection by the sea

Salt, humidity and sun wear steel out faster than inland. We choose protection by where the structure stands, not by habit.

Ratings are indicative and for comparison. For a specific site we recommend after seeing the location, distance from the sea and how the structure is used.

FAQ

Answers before you call

How much does a steel fence cost per metre?

It depends on height, infill (slats, bars, panels), protection and installation. Send a photo and approximate length on Viber — we give a per-metre ballpark from the photo. More on Metalwork prices.

What protection is best for a fence by the sea?

On the seafront, galvanising plus paint, or stainless for handrails. Further from the shore powder coating works well; inland a good primer and paint is often enough.

Can you fit the fence on an existing wall?

Yes. We check the wall and anchors first; if the wall is weak we suggest reinforcement or posts with their own footings.

Do you make a matching gate?

Yes, fences and gates are usually made together with the same profiles and colour. See Sliding and swing gates.
